Bluegrass Soccer Club, a division of Woodford YSA, is pleased to bring you the 6th Annual Bluegrass Cup. Located in the beautiful horse country of central Kentucky, the tournament will be held at the Woodford Soccer Complex in Versailles, KY located 15 minutes west of Lexington. All Under-9 through Under-14 teams, both boys and girls that meet the eligibility rules, are invited to apply. The event also includes a “Club Challenge” and a club discount program.

GEAR IT UP! 
 

   Bluegrass Soccer Club will sponsor a Passback collection of used soccer gear during the Bluegrass Cup, August 22-24.  Items especially needed are shoes/boots, uniforms/shorts, shin guards, soccer balls and keeper gloves; youth through adult sizes are needed.  There will be marked collection bins near the concession stand for your donations; all items placed in the bins must be clean.  Please deflate soccer balls prior to placing them in the collection bins; shoes should be tied together and mud should be knocked off of the shoes before being placed in the bins. 

   All items will be sent to Eurosport to distribute in the Passback program which is a joint effort between the U. S. Soccer Foundation, Eurosport and Major League Soccer to help meet the soccer uniform and equipment needs of all communities, regardless of income, gender or location.  In 1989, Brendan and Mike Moylan, the founders of Eurosport, decided to provide individuals the opportunity to share with others their love of the game of soccer.  They collected used but still playable gear and sent it to teams/organizations that were otherwise unable to afford even the most basic soccer equipment.  From a small school in Zimbabwe to an after-school program in inner-city New York, from youth soccer programs trying to rebuild in Louisiana and Mississippi after Hurricanes Rita and Katrina to U.S. troops stationed in Iraq to the Georgia Special Olympic State Games, Passback gear has been distributed to all corners of the globe.  Additional information on Passback can be found at www.passback.org , or locally, you may contact Trey Kramer at (859)873-4700.
