Welcome to the Home of the Bluegrass Soccer Club
Bluegrass Soccer Club was formed in 2001 as a division of Woodford Youth Soccer Association. Our teams participate in the Kentucky Select Soccer League, Kentucky Premier League, Buckeye Premier League and the Midwest Regional League.
Bluegrass Soccer Club is focused on player development. Everyone involved with BSC understands that winning is not the primary focus at the younger ages. What matters is the skill and technical development of the individual. More important, the young player (Academy – U11) has fun playing soccer. This is reinforced by skill and technical development, where the young player finds success playing soccer, which is fun, and encourages a return to soccer again and again.
The Bluegrass Soccer Club expects the middle ages of a player to be about continued skill and technical development. With an emphasis on place within a team, accepting of the coach’s decisions with playing time, and learning how to train. Players train to understand their roles as individuals and as a group within the Club’s tactical philosophy.
Team schedules are listed on the teams page. Click on the team under the team button at the top of this page you wish to see and it will take you to that team page.
Field Closing Decisions
Field closing decisions are made by: 2pm on Mon-Fri, 8am on Sat, and Noon on Sunday. Many times the weather will change AFTER this decision is made. We will announce field closings using our Rained out Texting system. We will only close the fields if they are unsafe due to water. ALL WYSA & BSC players/coaches/staff should be abiding by our rules on Lightning and Thunder.
